The FedEx Multibox Shipping Plugin is one of the most accurate FedEx shipping plugins available.  It breaks down the cart into more realistic packages and then bases the FedEx rates on those packages.  Using Virtuemart 2's custom fields feature, you can define whether items should be shipped alone or if they should be packaged together based on specified weight and/or dimensions.  You can also set the plugin to automatically generate shipping labels for the defined packages (FedEx account must be enabled for label generation for this feature to work)!
